From San Antonio to Pediatric Dental Specialist
Dr. Lisa's journey in dentistry began after her family moved to San Antonio, Texas, during her high school years. Embracing the local community as her home, she pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Her passion for dentistry led her to the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School, where she received her doctoral degree in Dental Surgery and her degree in Pediatric Dentistry.
Discovering a Love for Pediatric Dentistry
In the years following her graduation, Dr. Lisa worked as a general dentist, primarily treating children. This experience unveiled her true calling in pediatric dentistry, prompting her to complete a two-year residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at the same esteemed institution. Her dedication to the field continued as she balanced private practice with teaching roles at the university, nurturing the next generation of pediatric dental residents.
A Commitment to Lifelong Learning and Professional Excellence
Dr. Lisa’s philosophy that learning is a lifelong journey has kept her at the forefront of pediatric dental care. She remains an active member of prominent dental associations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (TAPD), Texas Dental Association (TDA), American Dental Association (ADA), and the San Antonio Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (SAAPD), ensuring she stays updated with the latest advancements in dental care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Lisa’s world is centered around the joy and energy of family life. She and her husband, Dr. Jin, are the proud parents of three active boys—Liam, Landon, and Levi—who keep them on their toes and constantly inspired.
The Ding household is also home to a lively collection of pets that reflect their love for nature. Whether they are tending to their pet chickens or observing the mini-ecosystem in their family aquarium—complete with fish, turtles, and even crawfish—there is never a dull moment!
When she isn't caring for patients or her "backyard flock," Dr. Lisa is a true explorer at heart. Her passion includes: culinary arts, global flavors, and travel with the family.
